Bagwan Rishtey ("we", "us", "the app") is a free matrimonial service operated by Bagwan Educational & Social Welfare Trust, Aurangabad, for the Muslim Bagwan community. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website (rishta.bagwan.online) or app, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

To create and show your matrimonial profile, we collect information you provide during registration and profile editing, such as: name, gender, date of birth, marital status, mobile number, email, city/state, education, occupation, a short "about" description, and profile photo(s). We may also record basic activity within the app such as interests sent, shortlists, and messages.

2. How we use your information

• To create your profile and show it to other verified members for matrimonial purposes.
• To let members search, shortlist, send interest, and message each other.
• To verify profiles (our team may call you) and keep the community safe.
• To send you service notifications (e.g., a new interest or message) via the app, SMS, or WhatsApp.

3. Photo & profile visibility (privacy / parda)

Member photos and profiles are not shown to the public. They are visible only to registered, logged-in members of the community. You can control your photo visibility from your profile settings, and you may hide or remove your photos at any time. We do not display your exact contact number publicly.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. Your profile details are shared only with other logged-in members of Bagwan Rishtey for the purpose of finding a suitable match. We may use trusted service providers (for example, an SMS/WhatsApp gateway) solely to deliver notifications on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form and connections use HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices & rights

You can view and edit your profile any time from your account. You may request deletion of your account and profile data by contacting us (see below); on deletion, your profile is removed from public view within the app. Legal or safety records may be retained where required.

7. Age requirement (18+)

Bagwan Rishtey is a matrimonial platform intended only for adults aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly allow registration by minors, and profiles found to belong to minors are removed.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies (for example, to keep you logged in). We do not use them to track you across other websites.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated policy.
